The very first center of gastronomic culture in Italy, Esperienza has partnered with them since our founding. Developed as part of our ongoing collaboration, this program will introduce you to the very best techniques, genuine ingredients, and above all, to the spirit of the Italian people and the culture that nourishes its culinary legacy every single day.

HIGHLIGHTS:
Experience a week of Italian cooking in Romagna, through hands-on lessons, behind-the-scenes demonstrations, dining experiences, visits with award-winning chefs, and intimate interactions with hosts, stories shared by local English-speaking guides, and much more.
Five days of cooking lessons at Casa Artusi, based on the work of Pellegrino Artusi, author of the “bible” of Italian cuisine, Science in the Kitchen and the Art of Eating Well, this program will begin with a cultural introduction to the values of Artusi and an in-depth study of the quality of local raw materials. It will not only show and teach you the details behind a series of gems of home cooking, it will elaborate on the recent UNESCO recognition of Italian cuisine as an intangible world treasure and introduce you to chefs: from homemakers to Michelin chefs to a legend who cooked for the pope. In the kitchen, in the museum, at the table, the art of cooking and eating will permeate your stay and inspire you to create your own masterpieces.
Our Culinary Program Hosts and Experts:
Anna Bonavita. The founder of Esperienza has a life-long passion for food, excellence and in-depth history exploration. Since 2000 she has been visiting or living in Romagna and would be delighted to share her love for La Terra del Buon Vivere (The Land of Good Life, as Romagna is called).
Susy Patrito. The former director of Casa Artusi and the creative force behind Esperienza’s Cooking with the Seasons series is also passionate about the culinary and cultural treasures of rural Romagna.
