LANGUAGE IMMERSION IN ITALY:

There's still no better way to learn a language than to be totally immersed in the country and culture. Situated in the beautiful Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, our language immersion program provides the opportunity for both classroom study and first-hand experience using the language in the context of daily living. It will be led by Emanuela Corbetta, with additional interaction from the local community. Learn more about our language immersion programs in Italy here.

Registration

Our Italian language immersion program is designed to enable students to progress in their language skills throughout the year. Therefore, careful attention is paid to placement of each student who joins our program. In addition, our classes are limited to a maximum of eight students to ensure the best possible experience.

Click the button below to review the full course listing for the upcoming term, read full course descriptions and sign up for classes. As needed, we will expand our offerings to add more classes and specific levels based on the changing needs of our students. For detailed registration instructions, click here. For additional information, see our Italian language program policies

NEW STUDENTS:

We encourage all new students to attend our free pre-term Open House, where you can meet the teachers and learn more about our classes.

Once you decide to join us, if you have never studied Italian previously, we recommend the Beginning 1 class. If you have studied Italian in the past, please contact our program director so we can learn more about your skill level and interests and provide a brief proficiency exam to recommend appropriate placement. New students who are above the Beginning 1 level are strongly encouraged to complete their evaluation at least one week before the beginning of the term to allow time for placement.

RETURNING STUDENTS:

Our classes are designed to be progressive and provide continuity throughout the academic year. Returning students will generally register for the next numbered course at their level (A1.1, then A1.2, etc.) during each subsequent term for the full program year. Again, if needed, we may add levels and classes each term based on the changing needs of our students.

Please note: Our online Italian courses will resume the week of September 23, 2024.
