In a region overflowing with traditions in every season, one of Romagna’s most festive autumn events is the harvesting of fresh, tantalizing olives. With their unmistakable fragrance and storied health benefits, these "fruits" create an experience as intense, complex and seductive as fine wine or truffles (two other specialties of the region). The olive harvest is a celebration of life unlike any other.

As we dream of visiting Italy in person again, Esperienza invites you to join us as we pay a virtual visit to Sapigni, one of the most revered olive oil producers in the region. Situated in the hills near Rimini, The Sapigni Oil Mill dates back to 1850, when Giovanni Sapigni began making extra-virgin olive oil from his century-old trees.

Today, Sapigni is orchestrated by the brother and sister team Marco and Emanuela Amati, and has earned the recognition of the global Slow Food organization for its continuing dedication to quality.

During our event, Marco and Emanuela will provide an overview of the phases of production, from selection of raw material to soil conservation to bottling. Perhaps most importantly, they’ll pass along wisdom and guidance on how to taste olive oil and how to recognize and appreciate a superior product.

Join us for knowledge and inspiration to nourish our spirits as we head into the winter season!
