Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I get my book?

For the Advanced (B2-C) group:

We read a variety of books and typically use the same book for several sessions before selecting a new book. Books may be purchased from Amazon or other online booksellers.

Please note that some books may require extended shipping time to arrive from Italy so we encourage you to order well in advance.

For the Beginning (A1+/A2) and Intermediate (B1) groups:

We typically read books published by Alma Edizioni.

Printed books may be purchased from Amazon or other online book sellers. Please note that they can take several weeks to arrive, as they are often being shipped from Italy. Please order well in advance to ensure the book arrives in time for your session.

Alternatively, e-books may be purchased for immediate delivery, and offer additional features such as audio recordings not available in the printed book.

Please note the following when purchasing an e-book:

  • E-books may be purchase in the US through the “Blink Shop” website. You will need to create a BlinkShop account and password the first time you order.

  • You will receive an order confirmation via email from Blink Shop, and a separate email with the license key with the following subject line: [BlinkShop] Access digital books: Licence keys.”

  • E-books purchased from Blink Shop can only be accessed through the separate, companion “Blink Learning” website or through the Blink Learning e-reader app available in the Google Play or Apple App stores. They cannot be downloaded to a kindle or other e-reader. You will need to create a separate login and password for the Blink Learning website or e-reader.

  • To access the e-book for the first time, you will need to enter the license key. Follow the instructions in the license key email carefully to ensure success.


How large are the groups?

We have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 students in each group. 

What are your registration, cancellation and attendance policies?

  • Registration fee is due in full prior to the first meeting.  

  • If a student withdraws prior to the start of their session, a full refund will be issued, less a $10 administrative fee. 

  • If a student withdraws after their session has begun, up until the second class, a full refund will be issued, less an administrative fee of $30.

  • If a student withdraws after the second session is completed, no refund will be issued.

  • Please note: Regular class attendance is strongly advised. Students who miss class for any reason will not qualify for reimbursement or an individual makeup class. If you must periodically miss a meeting, you may contact your teacher to request that they record the meeting so you can listen to it later.
